As a grandparent who has grandkids come over almost daily, and being a good grandfather, I let them use our computer. Heck, taught our youngest granddaughter how to type, move around the net, and all that good stuff. Now if you have kids or grandkids, you probably do the same and let them surf away on the internet. And if you are like me, you watch them either continuously while they are online, or you check them off and on. Just to make sure they don’t run off into areas of the internet they should not be on or visiting. So I make sure that my grandkids are only on parent or grandparent approved sites. Quite a few real nice kid friendly sites on the net and as I find more, I bookmark them in a folder just for the kids. This way, they have a list of sites they can visit and I watch if they click on a link to make sure it does not lead away from any site that is kid friendly.

And yesterday came across this site that is just super for girls! And boys also if they are into dressup the girl stage (had a nephew that went through this stage of dressing his sisters’ dolls). I know my granddaughter will like this site, as there is quite a variety of doll games to keep her busy for hours if not days. Does this mean my computer time will drop when she is visiting? Yes, I recommend this site as I actually played some of the games and saw absolutely nothing wrong or bad that would put any adult off. How many times have you had to email or use a long url, one that broke down or wrapped into two lines? Times like that, you probably wanted to know if there was an easier way. Well, there is an easier way to take long urls, especially those long affiliate urls, and make them smaller. Plus of course, hide those affiliate urls as people can see them and know they are affiliate urls and probably not bother clicking on them.

Short URL aliases are seen as useful because they’re easier to write down, remember or pass around, are less error-prone to write, and also fit where space is limited such as IRC channel topics, email signatures, or microblogs that have a character limit for each post (140 in the case of Twitter). 1. With MIT URL Service, you can also make a smaller URL that will work for any page on your site. Let’s say that you have a website with the homepage that is at: http://www.my-internet-isp.com/~myusername
Entering that URL into MIT URL Service will create a URL like http://miturl.com/p7Nh887gb

2. Are you posting something that you don’t want people to know what the URL is because it might give away that it’s an affiliate link? Then you can enter a URL into MIT URL Service, and your affiliate link will be hidden from the visitor, only the miturl.com address and the ending address will be visible to your visitors.

Before you use a long ugly url in your next email, post to a forum, or put it into your website or blog, head over to the MIT URL Service site and get it shortened! You and your viewers will be glad you did.

One thing all women are always looking for, at least from my perspective and having a wife that cooks super good, are more food recipes. Whether to have a change of pace for dinner, or to try something completely different, women are online constantly looking for good food recipes. I know my wife is alway looking for something a bit different, whether it is because she wants to serve rice or potatoes for dinner or to find a recipe that will make a cut of pork a lot tastier. And my wife loves to try out different things, whether they turn out good or heavens forbid not so good. I like finding quirky blogs just to read what there is on the blog. Finding such blogs to read is really fun, as I find blogs that make absolutely no sense with strange postings. Have you even run into such a blog? Where someone is posting like they are either drinking too much, or having some good weed? Posts that make no sense, have no rhyme or reason, just a hodge podge of sentences that do not connect at all. It is called the Keith Klein blog and it is worth going by and reading what he posts. He writes about googling his name and what he has found. But at least his name comes up on the first page of google, unlike mine that does not show up at all! And an interesting post about having an about page on a blog. You know, you go to a blog and notice that “About” link and click on it to see what it on there about the blog and the blogmaster. On the Keith Klein blog the “About” page is quite interesting as he gives you a nice bio of himself, probably more than I ever would for sure.

I would recommend anyone to go to Keith’s blog and read it. It is very interesting and he talks about himself just as if you and he were visiting and talking. Visit soon and spend some time going through everything he has posted, you may learn a few things.

What is the ultimate toy that every man and boy wants? Clue: one of our grandsons can not wait for me to give him my weekly issue of Auto Week, so he can salivate over the latest from Porsche, Ferrari, and other auto manufacturers.
